We often forget that the blues, the american blues from the Mississipi Delta, share deep roots with North African music, in countries so improbable as Morocco, Algeria, Niger, Mali and so on. It's not far fetched to say Mdou Moctar is a distant cousin from bluesmen like John Lee Hooker, but it would be insane to expect the same deep pain from History. From Niger, a nation right in the heart of the African continent, we expect nothing but celebration in the ol' tuareg way in the same ancient scale. We expect motorcycle badass guys with guitars in desert tunics. We'll get it twice: at the main stages and in the pool.
